Christmas eye candy!

One of these are going to be this year's Christmas cards!  I like the top one but hubby likes the pine cone.  Maybe I will print some of each.

Merry Christmas!

ZIA journal prompt #17

Life's Ups and Downs - I like to go with my first thought and I did here...
I am also going way back in the time machine...

AND!  ptrish did say to "write what ever makes you feel better"

"They go up diddley up up, they go down diddley down down"

This is one line from the theme song of a 1965 movie: Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines or How I Flew From London to Paris in 25 Hours and 11 Minutes http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0059797/

ZIA journal prompt #16

This prompt just looked like fun.  Here you will discover my secret - I do not have a journal but I am doing these anyway!  Like I mentioned a little bit ago, anything goes in this art!

The prompt was to tangle your journal page and then add some "inchies".  My first thought was:

Two and two are four
Four and four are eight
Eight and eight are sixteen
Sixteen and sixteen are thirty-two
Inchworm, inchworm
Measuring the marigold
You and your arithmatic
You'll probably go far
Inchworm, inchworm
Measuring the marigold
Seems to me you'd stop and see
How beautiful they are.

ZIA Journal Prompt #13

Okay, so I have been doodling for a few weeks and have a few to post - I am new to tangling and new to blogging so bear with me as I get some stuff on here so I can add my link to a few sites!  I just want to share!

Here is my version of ZIA journal prompt #13 - Steampunk.  It has some features I like and some that I don't but here it is anyway!  The two little, half-hidden gears in the center make me smile - they look like eyes!  not intentional, btw

ZIA journal prompt #8

I am new to the tangling world but an old hat at doodling!  As I learned more about Zentangle and zentangle inspired art, I started looking for a group to join.  I found a great group of people over at yahoo: Zentangled Inspired Art.  I joined and heard some of them mention Tangles & Stuff: a blog by ptrish40.  So, like any other dutiful newbie, I headed over there!  Great place!  Great ideas in her ZIA journal prompts - just what I was looking for!  This is the first one I tried.  It is from back in February and it is now May, but in the world of doodles, it makes no difference!

I read the description for prompt #8: "Charactersunite project - I Won't Stand For: __________". The message of this project is that Each of us, whoever we are, wherever we live, can do something to fight intolerance and hate.   I knew in an instance what I would put on my tangle.

I work with adults with developmental disabilities and I hate the R-word.  If you are someone who grew up with this word being an acceptable and funny descriptive word, please use your imagination and come up with something that is not hurtful to others.
